I'll be there
I'm really happy - when I first set the target back in November (it's based on my body fat being between 12 and 15% rather than BMI as I have a large bone structure and a fair amount of muscle), it seemed completely unachievable but bit by bit I saw my weight dropping and saw the target coming into view and realised I could indeed hit it
The amazing thing is, the initial calculation predicted I'd hit my target at the beginning of May so my diet has worked out exactly as planned
@nomistheman7.0 mmol / L this morning.
4.6 mmol / L at bed time.
.....
As an aside I'm wondering if the 4.6 mmol / L bed time reading is reactive hypoglycaemia related? Must go "gen up" on that.
@nomistheman
I normally see a biggish drop around midnight that I've tended to associate with my dinner time (7-8pm) dose of metformin starting to do its job. I don't usually see it at this time if I've forgotten to take the tablet until later in the evening. But I think that you're diet only now??

Bravo...4.7 this morning. I also checked my weight and have now reached my target weight after losing 33kg (around 5st 3lb).

Lovely... did you finish the teddies in time?6.2 glad the sun is out cause my friend is getting married today
Show off.
Just posted open house party at your house tonight on Facebook. Hope that's Ok?
You vegetarian? Ok, I'll make you lamb...Morning campers
4.5 fasting. Ketones P = 3ish, b = 1.9.
End of fat fast experiment. Very happy with results now to increase carbs and protein gradually and decrease fat % sensibly. Def useful as a tool against plateaus. Been interesting looking at the relationship between bloods and ketones And massive weight loss as well (although I should factor in to put circa 40% back on) accordingly.
Weather is holding. Dog walk on the beach to follow and then off to surrey for a bbq. it'll be very greek so chicken for the vegetarians.
Nasty....5.3 and its blooming freezing today......well 10 degrees with a windchill of a LOT....
Brilliant news - hope you are chuffed. We are having a party round @JohnD54's house later today as he's away. Are you coming?
Hi since starting a new diet I'm around 4.2. I'm low calories, low carbing.Hello All,
Hope you are all well and fitting fit.
I have seen the thread in fasting blood glucose, but was wondering what they are for only Type 2's.
Mine are between 4.5 and 6.0 depending on what I have eaten / drunk the night before.
Cheers

How odd... don't know... next time I get one of those I'll leave it and see what happens...Fasting today (Sat) just before 7am : 6.3
Had very weird reading(s) yesterday - woke up late again and was just about to test when the door bell rang - got a little blood onto strip and the meter complained that there wasn't enough, so I left the duff strip in the meter while I went down to answer the door, and thought no more about it. Came back and re-tested - and
@s_k_s
fasting Friday at 11.20: 7.0
However when I was checking last might I found a result from 5 mins before my successful test - a very low 5.8 - so in spite of announcing there wasn't enough blood, the meter had actually done some sort of test.- I've never seen this happen before but then I've generally replaced the strip almost immediately. I wonder if this was a fluke or it does actually make some attempt at checking given enough time even if it claims there's too little blood?
