Seems ever so long ago that I got up late ... 5.3 though. Doesn't seem to matter what time I get up, it's the point of testing in my routine that makes most difference

Thanks for the encouragement Jay Jay. It made me smile after a long day at work. Hope your well and doing OK

See told you , you could do it keep it up JJ
Jay1Jay1, I just did a 2 hour after and it was 5.4, don't know if it's the no carbs or the meds but got a thirst and peeing regularly , is that normal in the first few days?

What meds are you on and what's your sugar levels like

Hi loulou
Metformin 500mg once a day and gliclaside 40mg x2 per day , my BS seems pretty regular now it's between 5.1-5.4.
That's good sounds life like they could be working cause of my genetic disorder I can't take metformin or any of the tablets so its good old insulin for me. Glad your doing well.

Rog
I'm afraid it seems normal the weeing and thirst are part of the diabetes , I would think it's probably the low carbs that is keeping you down as the Meds will take a few days to come in , 1 metformin a day is a starter dose to let your body adjust so they may increase this a some point .
Your doing great so don't start worrying you really are doing well

No fasting reading this morning and no bed time reading either.

Mislaid my meter - well, left it at work. Oops! LOL

Morning all 5.4 this sunny morning plan to dust the old bike off and go for a ride.
