Welcome back Bluetit! I'm about to leave for Africa after yet another week of results in the low 6s. It will be interesting to see what happens over the next week.
A huge hike up to 9.1 for me this morning. Very worrying. Could it have been 2 glasses of Pimms before lunch even though I'd been 6.7 and 6.8 two hours after each meal? Bedtime was 7.9
No @Bluetit1802 I rarely eat after my evening meal, just a cup of coffee with a dash of cream around 8pm and a large glass of lemon and hot water at bedtime.Did you eat or drink anything between evening meal and bedtime? Something must have caused the bedtime high level, which in turn would make your fasting level higher.

We live and learn!Bananas are one of the worst things to eat. They are instant sugar, which is why you see tennis players eating them between games. Try some cheese if you are hungry before bed, although I find a glass of water does the trick.
Gordon......just been told by a friend at work Jamie Oliver did a curry with CAULIFLOWER replacing rice!! I've googled it and need to try it asap, looks good and perfect for low carb!! Fresh cauli whizzed food processor or grated, but of water and microwaved.........looks just like rice!!6.7 at 7:03am.
Looks like my carb blow out was a bit silly after all. I haven't managed to bring my level down at all since Sat night even after a 1 mile walk which usually does the trick. Clearly white rice is a killer for me. I shall have to rethink my off plan treat. Still having the shredded roast duck and roast pork though

It nice with cheese and cream in it - but I agree it is certainly not rice.
