I know I wasn't the only one last week to not get under 6's couple of days last week comfortably......seems heat and humidity doesn't help us??!! Still learning all the time......Mine have been far higher than my normal range these last few days- this morning a whopping 7.6 ( or 6.5 on retest) and I've struggled to stay below7 post prandially. It is very humid here in Dorset and I think the lack of a decent night's sleep for three days, being stuck in car a lot and more irregular meal times have really mucked me up. Be glad to get back home and back to own routine, food and my exercise bike. Feel really bloated and sluggish so going to try and up fluids a bit. Have been guilty of not drinking enough in this heat.
OK still can't find where hubby has put my meter, but I'm guessing my BG may have gone down to 7.6 nowYou know that could all change in 40minutes!Bx
7.2 this morning, 7.5 when I went to bed. 6s and 7s do seem to be my normal levels, a bit higher than I would like but from what I have read the SD Codefree does have a tendency to read a bit high so maybe that is part of it.
Didn't have breakfast before my appt........glad Didn't with the bloods taken ; ) came home had bacon poached egg mushrooms........1hr after I was 6.7, 2hrs later..........5.7!! Think I'm really cracking this ???!!5.3 this morning! I have my first nurse appt at 8.30am so not eating till I'm back, this is my first check since diagnosed four and a half weeks ago........going well informed now though and with my levels to prove I'm on it !!

5.8 on going to bed
5.4 this morning.
Ruth, forgive me for asking, but are you losing weight? I found my average morning levels dropped quite a bit all of a sudden (almost over night in fact) when I lost 17% body weight. It seemed to be a magic figure as someone else reported the same. I've now lost 22% and have noticed my post meal results are getting better despite eating the same foods. I just assume my insulin resistance is improving due to weight loss.
