Back to normal. Party time :joyful:

5.2 on going to bed after fillet steak, 6 chips, toms, mushrooms, a slice of garlic bread and some red wine at 7-15pm
5.3 on getting up

5.8 here, that's OK for me at the moment. My low preprandials seem to have gone AWOL a bit though, too near 6 for my liking.

4.2 for me this morning, but I definitely didn't eat enough yesterday. The logistics of the day were just a bit skewed (and will be repeated today), and my evening meal turned out to be a handful of salted peanuts. Neither of us wanted anything at all, but I had the nuts because it made sense. The sense being food, rather than necessarily the nuts.

Well, yesterday's cricket was a much better match, with the locals playing much better until the final over. I mean, in T20, who, in their right minds puts a fast bowler in to bowl when the opposition need 7 to win? One single and one ginagerous six saw to that. Yes, a final over fall over.

It doesn't bode well for today, as the opposition are Trin & Tobago, who are the best team yet.

On the upside, we had more chicken from the barbecue. :)

Memo to self: don't forget the binoculars today,

Maintaining in the 6's with 6.7 at bedtime and 6.8 this morning but still lusting after a 5...;)

I was the same and it wasn't til I dropped to 30g of carbs a day that I saw a difference x

I had my one weetabix yesterday morning at 7am, we didn't start to eat until 5pm ish, 5 course meal!! I was on guard but tried to have a treat.....passed on the bread roll to my date, Parma ham and melon, passed on the brioche that came with pate'' indulged in the champagne sorbet, main was chicken stuffed with Lincolnshire sausage........drank vodka, champagne and even a rose' or two!! Then came.e desert.....hhhmmmmm.........tiny trio.......and I had it!! So very sweet to my changed palate now!! 1 he after I tested and I was 8.......by the time we have in and went to our gorgeous lodge in the woods for the night after midnight I was 7.......not as drastic as I feared!! Not eaten much today as not really hungry, bacon eggs sausage and mushroom at the hotel and only just had small mix of corned beef, ham and cheese for "tea" - I was 4.9 before eating too!! (Yes, my longest post on here......sorry folks- wanted to let you know how I handled it!!

Brilliant Kimbo. You had a wonderful day without too much deprivation, nothing drastic in your levels, and back to normal now! Can't be bad. Glad you had a brilliant time. The food sounds delicious.

Considering it was very hot and humid - and really hot in the venue I was fearing worse!! Straight back on track today too, first nurse appointment on Tuesday morning- really going to make sure I give her my recent figures- guess I be told to have carbs though!! Pfffttt ; )

I think below 5 is considered good. Officially I think 5.5-7 is prediabetic.

X

See we can have fun and keep BGs under control! Sounds great, well done.

I would really love to know what my fasting BG is.....can't find my meter so I'm guessing at 8.1.
