Methotrexate is a very clever, but horrid drug. Hopefully your liver function will ease a little given time.

Indeed it is but I have just returned from my rheumatology appointment after a very interesting chat with the practice nurse. Even though I haven't taken any Methotrexate since the beginning of the year, my disease progression score in March this year was according to her "off the scale at 5..04" (a scale that stops at 5.00.) Today my disease progression score is 3.75 despite taking no medication for it since commencing LCHF.

I handed over 20 unopened needles full of the horrid drug to which she replied "Pharmacy aren't going to be very pleased to have to dispose of these" not making the connection that Pharmacy were quite happy for me to dispose of them through the wall of tummy!

I have such positive results from this morning that I feel a separate post (or blog!) coming on.......!

I have read that people who get up fully alert and full of bounce have naturally larger liver dumps than those that stay zombies until after breakfast. This makes sense if you think about it.

It certainly does, thank you!

Get one started!

Woot, woot, 6.1 this morning, I hope it means my body has adjusted to the injection the day before yesterday. I found yesterdays high readings very depressing, mind you my highest was 7.5, but still when its up, its annoying.....almost drove me to drink!

Off to face the world and the dentist now.

Hiya Methotrexate is wired I am on 12.5mg tablets weekly for my asthma and immune system. Dreading tomorrow as i know i will feel sick all day and have no energy :(

Wow! 6.9 this morning..... Has to be the daylight savings time change/ liver dump. Respectable 5.2 before supper tonight.

Back from dentist and doctors....4 fillings and my whole mouth is numb. Had to get a script from doctor, but also had my blood pressure taken 124/74, which is really good. Best thing ever an hour after breakfast down to 5.1, so the effects of the injection have settled!!!!!:cat:

Ouch MsV :) I had similar in January (cost a fortune) but certainly worth it. Good figures too so that takes away the pain I hope

Hi Mike,
Yep, but I am going to ring Bupa because they said I had reached my limit on a couple of the fillings so my out of pockets were high. I am so happy with the readings, yesterday going up was really frustrating, just like you felt the other day. I just realised you are probably in Australia like me, I am in Brisbane.

Have a great day!

Up really early today, 5;30 am for no particular reason.

Tested sugars 5,3 mmol. Pleased with that.

Look out of window. Still dark bi sunrise will not be too far away.

Consider setting out on my walk earlier to get some shots of sunrise. Cold convinces me to return to bed instead.

I will wait for a bit of sunshine

My fasting isn't fasting as had hot milk again at 3 am
