I have similar experience, I didn't get that much variation with my accu check....so we get what we pay for otherwise how can you explain huge differential in price between costs of strips.?

It's just before lunchtime now and not having had any breakfast, still feeling full from last night, I am now down to 5,0. Happy enough with that

Slightly better sleep last night, woke at 4 ish but managed to settle until 6.30 then had a lay in.
I was 5.9 on waking properly at 6.30, high side for me for a long time ( just looked at pot and I end in 72 also so maybe I've got a "blip" aka bluetit? ! ) post breakfast 5.6

The storage instructions say between 2c and 32c. Perhaps try a thermometer in your bedroom?

My blip was just one tub out of the batch. I'm still using the same batch and apart from overheating my tub last night, all is well again.

My Accu chek cassettes are about the dearest on the market. The Codefree ones are the cheapest. There is no significant difference between the 2 when I check one against the other. They all have to pass the same accuracy checks in the UK of the plus or minus 15% and there seems to be little difference between any of them. But I agree, it does make you wonder why they are so cheap compared with the others.

I think they'd have to send me home from school if I put a thermometer in there..... I may just sleep with the pouch under my pillow.

I will bow to your greater experience. BT Accucheck price must be perceived quality then to justify the price. A bit like generic and original drug prices.

Could it be because many GP's are persuaded to issue Accu Cheks to patients by giving them the meters free of charge, thereby ensuring future purchases of the strips, and able to charge more because they have a captive market? I don't know ......

Bedtime - 5.5
Fasting - 4.8 or 5.3 (left and right hand)

My lowest ever since I started testing 11 months ago.

Another early start for PT session. Unsure I have the energy...

Brilliant Diana, it had to get there eventually
