12.1 this morning, my first time with my new meter - a fasted test. I was diagnosed last Thursday, prescribed Metformin, and have been very diet conscious since. The 12.1 is disappointing as it's above the 11.5 the blood test the GP took that led to my diagnosis. Oh well, I guess it takes time for the meds and the lifestyle changes to take effect.
That calls for lots of butter ;-)5.2 at bedtime 11-15pm
5.3 at bathroom visit 2am
5.5 this morning
I'm out Christmas shopping today, including lunch with the girls. Nothing special, just a café, but they specialise in homemade breads. Oh dear.
Don't worry, it will come down. Morning fastings are usually the last figure to come down because such a lot f it is out of our control. It can depend on whether you had a restless night, are stressed, what you ate the night before, and what time you take the test in the morning. The best way is to get out of bed, wash hands, test. If you leave the test till after you have been up and about for a while, the levels may rise due a liver dump. You may even get a liver dump anyway. Keep going. You will get there.
5.8 today, on the upwards roll of the coaster methinks
6.5 this morning. Slept in and seem to have part two of the sore throat that is doing the rounds. Need to get up and out as plans have all gone to pot as woodburning cooker needs some parts before Xmas so a trip out to collect them now added to list.
Thought they were one of the "good guys" I've found my fasting seems to be best after "naughty" foods night before. Two mince pies (soya pastry)with cream plus go-ahead strawberry yoghurt break - both slices before bed. Neither of which spike me on their own. Several handfuls of a sweet cereal when dog got me up at 2am...... Liver must "help" me out overnight when I've been good ;-)8.7 this morning. I had an unusually large amount of blackberries yesterday evening!
Same here, 3 of my fingertips go white and numb. Reynaud's I suspect but never bothered doc wth itDont know about anyone else, but this cold weather seems to make my poor pricked fingers her a little more...

Recipe please76mg or 4,2 mmol/l.
Had to use a different meter today, so I do not know how much faith I have in this count.
bowl of celeriac soup was probably also unusually low in carbs

That was exactly me......Not on any meds.. I may have to ask when I have my next diabetic review with GP if I don't pick up soon. When I wake in the morning I feel like I've done ten rounds with Ali during the the night,
Good control:Happy 4.7 this morning
