Nope exactly what I'd expect. Most of us are higher in the mornings than the afternoons and evenings. Something to do with insulin resistance being worse in the mornings I think. Why? No idea. My lowest ever readings happen when I do the same as you. If I forget lunch then there is nothing to stop the gradual fall of levels from late morning onwards so you can end up quite low in the early evening.

5.4 today, I wonder what the new meter will show in the morning as it is running lower levels.

Just on Levemir/NovoRapid from yesterday, so needs a bit of adjusting.

I was 5.7 - would really like to know why?? Sometimes there is no accounting for it - except that I got about 9.5 hours sleep last night, which is maybe too much :shock:

4.4 this morning. First FBG with new meter. Previously never been this low.

5.8 this morning.... felt horrible and tested at 5.2 half an hour before my usual wakling time. dam hypo again. It's a sure sign when you're BGLs keep going up that your liver has dumped too. I'm tempted to drop my basal again, but it's not happening every single night.

4.6 first 4 in weeks and comes after a pretty rubbish day levels wise yesterday

morning my fasting glucose was 10.1 it is the first time i have done a fasting glucose

I have a question: I have lost nearly 2 stones now and am keeping my carbs down to less than 80g a day. My daytime readings are dropping consistently, but my fasting level is remaining between 7 and 7.5 nearly all the time. Am I doing something wrong?
