My HbA1c is back down in normal range from pre-diabetic but am rarely in the fasting FOURS.....low fives normallyThank youI am actually interested in the people with readings of 4's in the morning... I already managed to bring myself down from a scary 24.6 in january... but would love to be in the 4's... any experiences on that?
Well ive been in the 4.6 = 4.8 quite a few times but these last few wks I'm averaging 5.2Thank youI am actually interested in the people with readings of 4's in the morning... Have you found any correlation with diet or any other lifestyle aspect? I get to 4.5 in my pre prandials...My HbA1c is back down in normal range from pre-diabetic but am rarely in the fasting FOURS.....low fives normally

Yes i do weights twice daily and sit ups and 5 mins skipping, and 5 miles on exercise bike am and pm, these usually bring my blood levels down and my fasting readings since starting this routine have come down from 6.2 to 5.0 on averageHave you found any correlation with diet or any other lifestyle aspect? Your not being visited by a vampire in the night are you ? Taking your blood and fat ( new species of vampire) lol, but hey, well done kimbo your an inspiration :Really late on parade today! !
Fasting was 5.6
Today I had my appointment with my nurse to check how I'm doing meds free, I told her my average fasting and pre/post prandial, she decided to do my bloods today instead of april- but after two attempts couldn't get a drop! Think as I'd gone straight out this morning and only had my coffee and not my usual glasses of water during the morning I wasn't flowing! Now I shall have hba1c on the 19th. She had commented "look at you" when I walked in, asked what I was limiting food wise and this time when I told her seemed to praise low carb!! I asked to pop on her scales to see what had changed since Dec 30th, as I did I heard her take a sharp intake of breath then a big laugh- 13.2lbs loss!! Then more praise....
Now I need to update my signature again, my total now 5.44 stones loss!!
As for my sudden, hot, heart racing, waking in the night I have to see gp but she agrees it was never the forxiga as he thought it may be as it's happening still so its more likely hormones as we thought
The morning number is always the last to come down. Your lowest readings should be pre-evening meal as a general rule. Several people on here see 4's in the mornings, most of us see 5's as a rule., whilst some are still on their way down. You have done very well to get it down from 24.6 in January.
Good consecutive results mike:4.9 after exercise last nite
Do you like almonds as I get smoked almonds which are v nice and moreish!!Thanks for the suggestion Pasha - unfortunately I don't like pecans although there are plenty of other nuts I do like which are lower carb. But as I eat the nuts as a treat at the weekend, I want them to be something I like rather than something I should eat. Eventually I will either learn willpower or cut them out completely...
Thanks CliveGood consecutive results mike:)
