So cute...5.8 still no meter but posting a slightly higher guesstimate due to having had 5/6 chips with my valentines steak last night.
Oh and our dog fergie loves the sea.View attachment 11788

5.3 this morning. My throat infection invited friends . I have a high temperature, persistent coughing, feeling cold, chest infection and no energy.
:-(
If I am getting up at 3.30am for the cricket what time do I take my fasting reading?
Maybe try not testing until an hour after exercise? That's what I was advised to do and it seems good adviceI am now despondent, my morning walk / stroll with our old dog has always been very helpful in bringing my bs down. I have porridge for breakfast, tried yoghurt yesterday, not for me.
Bs after walk 8.4. Or. 9.2. Or 8.5 take your pick, 40 mins later. 7.2.
Still don't like this codfree meter, using up strips
More like your normal though blue? Not batch 44 obviously! !4.8 at bedtime
5.5 this morning
My liver did it again. It really hates me being below 5.3 at bedtime and always brings me back up.

No, my remaining batch 44 tubs are being sent back for analysis, at their request. Batch 61 now.
I am using batch S0314161 and I can't say I'm impressed

That's all very well for you, Mr D with your warm sunny evenings! I shall report back tomorrow after I've done my shift on the treadmill while watching the evening news!

That was a result sanguine. :5.2 this morning after Valentine's dinner of rump steak (with a dollop of horseradish), salad, berries & cream, some 100% chocolate and, er, quite a bit of red wine. That lot bumped me from 5.1 to 5.2 at 2 hours (). The real deal will come with my HbA1c in about a month's time, it's said that the last month or so is the most influence on it.
You will get that sort of variation with pretty much any meter @millysue
I get the same variation with my gluco rx and my other meters.
Stop worrying about it and repeat testing or you'll get sore fingers and worry too much.
Just take the one, trust it, it's only a guideline so you have an idea what's going on.
You'll eventually find a pattern and work out what's going on
I know it's hard. But it really is a very good little meter, with affordable test strips and reliability.
Just ignore all the fuss kicked up about the one batch of test strips that were dodgy.
It's not the norm.
