I don't listen to UKIP.By a Pole I hope then. Chances are it probably was if you listen to ukip there are no poles left in Poland!
And the Czechs - one of my favourites books of all time is freedom in the air by hamish Ross.I don't listen to UKIP.
A lot of people forget the Poles have been here a very very long time.
The Poles flew RAF bombers and spitfires too.
When I first came to Dundee for Uni my landlady was WW2 Pole, amazing woman... Fife is full of them from that period... just great folk.I don't listen to UKIP.

Porridge itself may be enough to raise your blood sugars too high because of the carbohydrates in it..... you may be best changing to a cooked breakfast like bacon, eggs, sausages, mushrooms, omelette. If you DO have porridge do you make it with water or milk? if you use milk try unsweetened soya milk instead.... or Almond milk (also unsweetened)..... pinhead oats or oatmeal may not be so bad for you as rolled oats.... they seem to release the carbs more slowly. SOME people can't seem to manage any amount of carbs especially for breakfast though their tolerance increases throughout the day.as a newbie where is the best place on here to ask random questions...like I want porridge for breakfast, can I use something to sweeten it & what's best..I have sugar...honey or golden syrup..at the moment I do not have any powdered sweetener x
Always helpsI've even got a supply of cheese, ham and corned beef in the fridge at work for emergencies! ! Forward planning
I can only think the guava might have been responsible especially if ripened in the sun..... don't have my book handy so can't check carbs for that.Back from Thailand yesterday mid-morning after 32 hours of traveling and 1of 3 flights that took over 14 hours from Singapore! Tested myself in the middle of the afternoon (remember I forgot to bring my meter with me!) and it was 6.3. This morning 5.8 and two hours after breakfast (sausage, bacon, eggs and mushrooms p;us half a guava brought back with me) and... 8.0). Not sure if that's OK or bad really all things considered. I trued my best to avoid carbs while away but Thai cooking probably has a lot of sugar in it. But avoided most noodles and rice and had no sweet drinks or ice cream, etc. I did have some of the local fresh fruit though (not quite ripe mangoes and guavas mainly, but not bananas). I did snack a lot on peanuts. I have put on about 4lbs in the 10 days I have been away and am hoping some of that is water, but I did manage to do about 2 miles of walking most days I was in Thailand. It's good to be back!
