5.8 before bed
6.8 this morning

I had breakfast on the way to work - but I can feel my BS increasing as we speak, but refuse to test until the 2hr period.
What does it feel like? Or are you joking? :) I sometimes feel myself get hot and a bit flushed and imagine it's my BG going up... sheer imagination I'm sure...

What quantities of what for the pastry? I tend to make almond pastry but it's a bit twee for steak pie... :)
Just a quarter butter to flour. You need big pinch of xanthan gum per each 100gs of flour or the pastry is too short and breaks even when being rolled. Used the same amount of flour as I would've done for "normal" flour.

Quite a big portion of chilli con carne last night, with berries/cream afterwards, but only went from 5.3 to 6.7 and back to 5.7 this morning, so OK with that.

106/5.8 after dinner last night - fillet steak, steamed veg and three large twice-cooked chips stolen from my husband's plate...and red wine of course... there was an article this morning saying that drinking red wine does your body as much good as going to the gym... Really? Hmmm.... It would be nice, eh? :)
101/5.6 this morning - more than I want it to be, but still quite good... looks like the sinus infection is still with me.. the headaches are an indicator I suppose... :(
Well done susikav, your right its not easy...but our fellow diabetics give so much encouragement and good advice that it always feels that we are not in this alone::))

Were you at my house Rodders, as I had the same meal? (4.1 pre and 4.2 post prandial. I think my liver was paying beforehand....) Did you have rice, or pass on it? (I passed as I can't be bothered doing a modest portion of rice for only me.

I just wanted to share some good news with you. I had my second year review mammogram on Monday and am all clear still, so very good news for me. :):):):):):):):)

Rice? RICE? Never touch the stuff! No, just the chilli, not as big a proportion of beans as I might once have had though. I would have had some salad leaves with it but there was no room on the plate. Then I was going to leave some for lunch today, but it was so nice. Then I was going to do without the berries and cream because of the quantity - but I didn't ;)

PS call me Rodders and I'll have to call you Del Boy :p

Thanks everyone. I see my consultant on Friday who will confirm matters (hopefully). If a recurrence of the same tumour occurs it is statistically within the first two years, so that milepost is behind me. Just got another 3 years to go before remission from any spread.

Blue I don't do dancing, because my girls object to my style, but dancing for you with this news.
