Your not being visited by a vampire in the night are you ? Taking your blood and fat ( new species of vampire) lol, but hey, well done kimbo your an inspiration ::))
She is indeed Clive... :)

I have been taking metformin on and off for years due to my insulin resistance and PCOS. At the moment I am taking 2000mg but I know from previous experiences with low carbing in the past that once I manage to bring the weight down my need for metformin is smaller, however since I am now diabetic I am not sure how will it work from now on, will have to wait until I lose enough weight and see...
All we can do is take one day at a time... the guys on the forum say we mustn't beat ourselves up if we slip back, or eat something naughty sometimes - tomorrow is another day, move on... :) But you will get some seriously good advice on here if you care to take it...

Also... the prescribed me gliclazide when I left the hospital, I took it for two weeks, but it didn't make any sense to me to take it due to the insuline resistance (I have a lot excess weight which exacerbates the IR) so I talked to the nurse and I stopped the gliclazide, my numbers went dramatically down after that. The aftermath of the gliclazide for me is that my acne came back (which means I had tons of insuline running frrely in my system and playing havoc with my testosterone levels...) ... and it takes time to clear out.
It's an uphill slog alright.... most of the postings on here will tell you about successful weight loss on low-carbing... Have you ever tried it? Or is it not for you?

Fasting:
4.5 this morning
4.9 yesterday morning.

I've got a throat irritation as well as a runny nose, I've also had the flu jab.......another war to fight. :)
Blimey, stay warmly wrapped up when you're out and about... hope it's a short-lasting bug....

That's such a result... sorry - I may have missed a post or two... It's hard to stick to sometimes though, isn't it? I'm having chips tonight :) It'll be only the second time in over four months though... I am looking forward to it... :joyful:

5.0 still in my normal 5's, very happy I seem to have a liver that behaves lol.

Off to work I go.

Have a good one everyone.
You certainly do John... :) Lucky you... Having said that, I've just realised that I haven't had a six for days... woop woop... :singing:

8.3 bedtime
7.3 this morning.

The downward trend continues. I can't believe just six weeks ago I was in the 13s!
Well done! It's so encouraging, isn't it? :)

Naughty girl 7.5 had some chocolate last night. It was really great to meet up with my friend and her children yesterday. The cardigan i made her children 22 month old daughter looks lovely :):):). It's the first proper item of clothing i have knitted
That must have been satisfying... :)

5.0 :) but it's still manky and grey outside ...... do I give a flying fig? ..... Nope! :joyful: Cos it's sunny inside
Cool.. You'll need your shades on then...

4.6 last night
Liver dump
7.4 this morning
What's a girl to do!
You could try what some of the others do and have a handful of almonds or a babybel before bed? Or have you tried that before? It's so hard sometimes.. :)

Thanks posh.
On the up side I am just back from stroll with our dog, which about 2 hours after my porridge and blueberries. Reading pre porridge 7.1. Post walk / stroll 7.9. Not too bad I think.
I'd love to have a dog to walk again... When I retire I shall have two.. :)

An unadjusted 4.5 for me this morning. Based on personal knowledge, it should be a bit lower, but I have set myself some rules around this batch and I must therefore stick by them.

On the downside, I have lost another kilo, which might not seem a lit, but it brings me perilously close to the bottom of the healthy range. My body fat as dropped to under 13% and visceral fat to 3 (on a scale of 1-9). All I can say is, if I haven't got myself to a position of reversal with thos levels, I doubt I can achieve it. My HbA1cs have been in the non diabetic ranges, but I just don't have the guts to push the (diabetic levels) envelope exhibited by some. Actually, whilst we're here we eat a fairly low carb diet, by default, and I'm eating a bit more fruit at breakfast, but I really should put a bit more thought into things if this weight loss is starting again. Of course, it may just be my settling back in period, coupled with the chest infection and eating "well", in an attempt to understand pesky batch 44.

There's always something to think about.

Play nicely playmates.:)

We had 2 daft Dalmatians, loved them both , but when my wife or the girls took them to the fields, they would look at each other and ****** off in different directions to explore.

Was always fun to find them at our back door knowing my girls were still searching for them. Lol shouldn't laugh but you have to.
