Type 3 Diabetes

Hello I wanted to ask about Type 3 diabetes - my mother has Alzheimers and Type2 diabetes. I think there is clearly a link, and I'm wondering if hers is actually Type3. I try to manage her diet by keeping to low GI food, and I notice that whenever she strays from this, even mildly, she gets very agitated and angry and hard to control for days after. Does anyone have similar experiences? Does anyone know of any tips for keeping blood sugar on an even keel - is there any research into this?
thanks

Hi. I don't have any practical experience of Type 3 diabetes, as I didn't know it existed till I read your post. I've read as much as I can since then, as there seems to be a great deal research on it.

There were only two things that seemed relevant to your question. The main one is that they recommend exercise as helpful. The other is internasal insulin, but this seems to be at a pilot stage so might be a few years off as a treatment.
