Can a diabetic type 2 take insulin and when it is?

Is this caused by a lack of insulin or something else?
Does this patient become the type 1?

Many T2 use insulin but they must still take great care with their diet. Taking any kind of drugs for Diabetes or using insulin therapy does not mean that a T2 can eat anything they like with impunity.

Absolutely different conditions .... T2s don't "morph" into T1s simply because of insulin reliance

If you're comment is directed to me I know that an insulin dependant T2 is not the same as a T1. No morphing involved, however, diet is an important aspect of any type of Diabetes.
