Driving me mad keeping me up all night any suggestions on how to help it. Would love to go to gym and that's what most of you would suggest but I have severe back and hip pain which stops my exercise now

I used to get RLS. I think it went away after I was diagnosed with coeliac and prescribed B12 and Folic acid. I've also heard that magnesium and Vitamin D can help.

Hi @Tylers73 , I have RLS (Ekbom syndrome) for a few years now. I tried home help remedies, iron tablets from my GP, but nothing worked. To cut a long story short, my GP prescribed Ropinirole and it worked for me (a hallelujah moment) I take it late afternoon and also before bed. You can get help from your GP, don't suffer anymore, it's a horrible condition, it can affect the arms too and it affects women more.
Good luck and wishing you a good nights sleep, hopefully very soon. Sorry to hear of your back and hip pain.

Thank you robin for your advise very much appreciated that someone is listening. I spoke to my doctors about and he informed there is nothing he can prescribe to help it. Basically sorry and go away I felt but getting it in my arms too now. Not all the time but enough to be really effecting my sleep pattern

Hi Tylers73,
I suffer with restless legs (and arms) and my feet keep me dancing all night. It's got so bad I have to get up and walk round downstairs. I am trying to lose weight and am low/no carbing which I have done before. I've noticed that it's got a lot worse since I started and remember also that it was worse when I was dieting a few years ago. I have just been to Holland & Barrett to see if they could recommend anything and explained my circumstances. I've walked out with magnesium oil for spraying on my legs and feet (and arms) at night and also vitamins B12 and E for muscle relaxation and nerve damage. My doctor has never been very sympathetic and more or less said it was something I would have to live with. I have started taking the vitamins today and will try the oil spray tonight and will see how it goes. I sympathise with you because it really does impact on your sleep and I'm tired all the time when I should be full of energy as I'm eating really healthily.
