Type one being a parent should I get my son checked

As it has only been a year since being diagnosed. A lot has happened in the year and everyone like friends/family all have an opinion. My son is 15 should I get him checked/screened whatever it is etc
 
Just look out for symptoms make sure he's aware, you can always do the simple finger prick obviously if it reads high then he could have it too.

I've been booked in to get my girls checked as I'm diabetic,the bloods are getting sent over to america to be tested.
 
Hi tylers.. I've been diagnosed bout 8 months now, and I've been wondering the same thing. My sons only 7, and I don't want to worry him. For now, I'm gonna keep an eye on him for Lethargy, blurred vision, thirst, etc... I think if he was sick, yes I would blood prick him in his sleep to check
