Just wanted to ask. My G.P has prescribed me a 10 day course of norethiserone tablets to take 3 times a day its a synthetic hormone as I am at present bleeding continuously and have been for over 3 weeks. I know it increases blood glucose levels like our bodies do pre mentrual, but has any other diabetic taken this tablets before. I am a bit worried about the bleeding but go said she needs to check me and can't do it while I'm bleeding, thankfully it has slowed it Down but still spotting slightly started taking them Tuesday evening.

I would keep an eye on the bleeding and related symptoms because an examination might not be the only test you need for this. I know nothing about your history or age but, as you will be aware, continuous bleeding needs to be thoroughly investigated. I think she is on the right track prescribing norethisterone to try and stop the bleeding. Has she ordered some blood tests, eg a CBC, iron studies, CRP etc?
