Type1 Meetup, 10th of September at 12.30 pm, Hyde Park

Hello Everyone Following the success of our last meetup, we would like to invite you to another picnic. This time in Hyde Park Come along, make new friends, share your experiences and learn a lot about type1 from fellow diabetics.
Please bring with you drinks, food to share, picnic blankets, plastic cups, plates etc. Last time we had way too much food so please bring just a a little bit extra to share
During the picnic I will be collecting:
- any unwanted in-date insulin,
- syringes,
- lancets,
- testing strips (even if they are out of date). ...
It will all be send to InDependent Diabetes Trust who helps people with Type1 in developing countries.

Aaaargh, I'm going to be in London on Saturday 3rd! Although will probably be very hungover so perhaps not the best time to meet new people anyway

I might make it 2 weeks in a row - am determined to make it to one of these

ps. I have tons of unused syringes so will let you have those at some point - fab idea

Hyde Park is a massive place so exactly where in the park will the picnic area be?
Near the water fountain or tennis courts etc?
 
Im afraid the forecast for Saturday doesn't look great. I don't think any of us would be happy having the picnic in a pouring rain Our plan B is to meet in Drayton Arms, lovely pub near Hyde Park (closet stations South Kensington, Earls Court, Gloucester Road). We are meeting at 12.30 pm. Ive booked a table under my name, so ask at the bar for Ewelina . Hope the weather wont stop you to come and meet many lovely people.See you on Saturday

Bumping this up so that participants are aware of the change of venue.
 
There will be a lot of people about as its the Radio 2 Proms in the park today
 
Shame weather has shifted venue, I don't do pubs so will wait until another time.
