Can anybody answer this question; When eating any item of food which contains alot of sugar, how long after eating it, will it show up on taking a blood test reading.
 
If it contains a lot of sugar, it will start to show up almost immediately and definately by 1 hour.

The more complex the carbohydrate the longer it will take to show.
 
it is also affected by the amount of soluble fibre and fat you eat with the sugar.
 
just to muddy the waters a little more, it all depends on your own unique metabolism and digestion rate.

But anything that is quickly absorbed spikes quite quickly.
Those are the high GI carbs and sugars.
