Types ?

. If you are slim like me with a low c-peptide then you are likely to be Late onset T1 and not T2.

it's not necessarily anything to do with weight.... my great aunt has been super thin all her life and she is insulin dependant type 2 like myself. She just produces hardly any insulin but doesn't have antibodies. I'm the same as her although I'm definitely fat compared to her. lol. So in my own family there are 2 examples of 2 different weights but both the same with diabetes. We've both had multiple GAD tests and c-peptide tests as well.

Yes I know that diabetes Type 2 is not confined to obese people. Probably more difficult to control too!

My father, his mother and his sister were Type 2 but all overweight!

I've never had any other tests than the original one, c-peptide sounds interesting, will look into that, other than being told I'm diabetic and have to have flu jabs, and retinal screening, I have been on a day long DESMOND course, tbh I think this was aimed more at ethnic diets and the considerable uptake of diabetics in that sector of our society, please please do not think that I am in anyway racist, I believe in an harmonious society with equality for all, I just need to find an educational plan for my diabetes which is not under control, waking this morning at 19.1, my only thoughts at this time are to try the LCHF diet.
