Hi. I would be very interested to see what people eat through out the day. Breakfast, lunch and diner. And what snacks you have And how often you have treats, also what sort of treats. And how many carbs you have a day???
I just want to get some ideas.
Hello Maddie, I am an ultra low carber (usually) today has been a bit naughty :shh:
I never eat breakfast, but for lunch I have things like Greek yogurt with berry's and some flaxseed. sardines on a bed of lettuce, spinach cucumber, in fact any salad really. Salad with meat, fish, poultry, game, seafood, dairy (I love cheese and eat a fair amount). I sometimes have bacon, eggs and mushrooms for lunch, or an omelette, or scrambled eggs with grated cheese. Dinner I usually have lots of veggies all steamed with some kind of protein, again meat, fish, poultry etc. I make mashed cauliflower by adding a good knob of butter, and sometimes a slosh of cream. If not veg then I have a large colourful salad, with a virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing.
Snacks, I bake a LOT, so there is usually something floating around, if not then nuts, ham with cream cheese rolled into little parcels, sugar free jelly with loads of double cream.
Hunger is never an issue
I see you are pre diabetic? I think if I were in your shoes I would act like a diabetic and reduce carbs to give yourself the best chance not to become a full blown diabetic.
Good luck.
[edit to add] There are things like crustless quiches and cheeseburger pie in the food forum, along with tons of other recipe's. Read through, if there are things you like the sound of, make a shopping list and get the things when you can. I do that, then I always have fresh idea's if my taste buds need a wake up.
