I really appreciate this forum making conversations about this disease (Type 1 for 68 years) to be both recognized and discussed. I am looking for a formula to equate the glucose measurements I see here with the ones that I am familiar with. Units of insulin, A1c values etc.

Hi @Buddy And welcome to the forum. To convert from USA to UK divide by 18 to go from UK to USA measurements multiply by 18 quite straight foreword really.

For the blood glucose values from home testing there are all the details on this page: https://www.diabetes.co.uk/blood-sugar-converter.html
But in essence what you want is:

• Formula to calculate mmol/l (UK) from mg/dl (US): mmol/l = mg/dl / 18
• Formula to calculate mg/dl(US) from mmol/l (UK): mg/dl = 18 × mmol/l

Now that's something I was unaware of being T something or other and not on insulin.

France, the USA and some other countries use mg/dl for blood sugar. Having used both I prefer the mg/dl system and think of it as showing the percentage of blood sugar; 50mg/dl or 50%, half; 200mg/dl or200%, twice as much; 100mg/dl or 100%, spot on.
