Uncontrolled type 1 & pregnant HELP!!

Hi, i struggle with controlling my diabetes and have done for a while now. I cannot remember the last time i saw an endo, must have been about 3/4 years ago. I now think i may be pregnant and im very worried. Id be very grateful for some advice as to where to go from here, any advice is welcome specifically from anyone who has been pregnant with type 1 diabetes
 
Hello and welcome. Congratulations if you are pregnant, but best to get it confirmed first. Then try to get your blood sugars at a good and stable level, for your own sake and the baby. Could you make an appointment asap to see your GP or DSN ?
I am type 1 and I had my daughter 13 years ago, plus I'm an older mum too.
Please try and not to get too stressed, as this could put your blood sugars up. Also do you have support from your partner or family? I hope it all works out well for you, take care. With best wishes
 
As RRB said contact your GP.
They will confirm it and if you don't have a DSN / consultant I am sure they will put you in contact with the correct people.

Im going to make an appointment on monday but im not sure what to say as i havent seen a doc in a while
 
I would just say that you are concerned you may be pregnant and have type 1 diabetes. If they ask if it it an emergency appointment then say yes.

I've been there and done that..... and to add to it, didn't know I was pregnant till I was 18 weeks! Go to the Dr, be open and honest and listen to their advice. You've got from here on to work on your health and levels, what's done is done, so don't stress over that.

Hooked, just curious, was your baby unaffected at birth as you didn't know you were pregnant until 18weeks? With my first I found out at about 6 weeks and hadn't taken any folic acid, luckily he was ok! How was your sugar control?
