usual food and a bit more active routine today but nothing extreme and I just got an 8.3 nearly 4 hrs post dinner! I only occasionally see a 7 let alone an 8. I’ve sneezed quite a few times today but otherwise feel totally fine so I guess I could be incubating something. I also just had a looong hot bath. Anyone reckon it’s the bath?
Yeah maybe. I don’t get many unexpected readings though, and they are usually contamination and ok once redone.Or it’s just one of those diabetic moments.
Probably about 45 mins but I had been in there an hour or moreDid you test within half an hour from your bath?
Probably about 45 mins but I had been in there an hour or moretopping it up regularly. iPad propped on the side catching up on tv viewing
First was 2130 (8.3). Second 2230 (7.8) so it’s dropping now a bit. It was a little higher late afternoon now I think about it but dropped again before dinner to normal. Looking like I’m going to wake up with a lurgyDid you keep testing half hourly to see how long it took to drop?

Mmm. Not sure which I’d rather have. Yes definitely had some sneezes earlier. I do get hay fever a bit but not normally this early, more like late July usually. We’ll see what morning brings. Come to think of it I don’t think I’ve actually been ill with a bug since diagnosis/testing/low carb/keto.Yes, I think a lurgy is on its way. Did you say you were sneezing earlier? Hay Fever is prevalent at the moment, and according to something I read recently, we now have super pollen that is affecting those not normally hay fever sufferers
Yep it can.Serious question - can being sick raise your blood glucose? I've freaked out because mine has gone from 4's and 5's to 6's and 7's when it feels like I haven't "done" anything bad to cause that. But I have noticed a sore throat and some cold symptoms in the last few days, could that have anything to do with it?

Sounds like the consensus is a bit of an outlier for some reason.
Just in terms of hot baths? I'm a shower gal myself, but I do know there has been discussion about the impacts of hot tubs/jacuzzis on blood glucose. Generally, the bloods go down a bit, although in my little head I wonder if that's the warm water specifially, or the fact the person is taking time for themselves, to sit in one place and relax for a while.
I know @Brunneria took one for the team some time ago, whilst wearing a Libre to explore her own results. Based on findings, and liking the experience, I have a feeling she may have repeated this research a number of times since.
Accuchek mobile so a cartridge. Retested then and got a 8.1. Just went to check times and accidentally triggered another test instead of checking the data so it’s now down to 7.8. Not rogue. Just unexplained
