Hello,

Hope everyone is well!

I unexpectedly fell pregnant - I am now 11 weeks and due to start the closed loop system Medtronic on Wednesday and I know this isn't approved for pregnancy but they think it can help. I am currently around 60% in range. This is my second pregnancy and it is such hard work managing the spikes this time around.

I was wondering if anyone had experience on the closed loop whilst pregnant? or any other general tips for managing sugars during pregnancy.

Thanks

Charlotte

Hi! How are you getting on? I am also T1 and pregnant, currently 16+6 weeks pregnant with my second!

I am also sitting at around 60% in range and finding it a lot harder this time to stay in range. My diabetes team said I need to be in target 90% and that terrifies me because I can't even manage 70% at the moment.

How are you finding it now? Are you 6 months now?

How did your first pregnancy go? Mine was stressful and I just really want this one to go smoother than the first to be honest, thankfully my son is healthy and fine, but we did spend 3 weeks in NICU and he was born at 35 weeks.

I don't know why but I'm more stressed about it this time round.

I wanted the closed loop but they said I have to wait until after pregnancy for mine.

Hope you're doing well,
Grace
