Hmm, so I'm a freshly diagnosed Type 2, I found out a week ago.
After having a wee panic, I decided screw it. In for a penny, in for a pound, and went low carb. I've done it before, kinda knew the ropes. Just in a different country, and I had imagination paralysis in terms of food. I usually do well on it, once I get through the intial stages, and generally sustain it easily for a long period of time until I hit a bump, usually when eating socially, but I won't get into that just yet. It helps I don't really like potato, and don't really miss bread. Cost of living did make me change my diet and the past year was hell.
This time is not going well, the painful hunger pangs I can deal with. I know they'll go away once my body adjusts, but this time I developed... diarrhoea.
Am I doing something wrong? I haven't started Metformin yet, so it's not that. I'm not given to having food intolerances, though I am getting older. Should I be worried? Is this a thing?

Not idea about the diarrhoea and I'm not sure why you are feeling hungry, the benefit of low carb is that you can eat healthy fats which will fill you up.
What do you eat throughout the day?

Not worried about the hunger pangs. I'm into my second week, they are starting to settle.
Mainly eating salad, and whatever protein I have on hand, eggs, ham, tuna. I did have the occasional protein shake but stop that at day four.

As others have said, this is almost all protein and you'll probably need to add more fats. If you want to stick to salads olive oil mayo is an easy addition.
