Yesterday I was having perfect sugars around 6. That's good for me because my average is 8 so i'm brining it down slowly.
Anyway, It was looking like I was going to get through my first day with absolutely perfect sugars. But sadly it wasn't to be. 5 hours after dinner, 13.8 DOH!
Now i've got a number of reasons and wonder if anyone has anyone can spot the culprit.
For dinner i had turkey mince that I heated up from the day before. It had half a shallot in it about 25g if i remember. About 20g of mushrooms. Along with that i had 100g of runner beans boiled.
This should have worked out at about 5g of carbs I predicted. For dessert i made a pancake that was made of 1egg, 1 ryvita, cream, cinammon, nutmeg and a sweetner. This should have come to about 6g carbs.
So from that I shouldn't have had any problems. Now later on after dinner I had a can of fosters beer. I also had 2 glasses of cherry diet coke. So i'm left wondering if it was one of these, but am not sure.
