Hi all,

Sooooo I'm confused as hell lol. Over the last few days I have been having several hypos a day. I have reduced the amount of insulin I'm having with meals, and change my sensitivity. I have been on a pump almost a year. I have no idea why, I'm not pregnant. I am needed more cars to treat the hypo's too. I have spoken to my dsn and she's not sure either as I've been yo-yoing from higher levels and lower with normal readings in between. Has anyone had the same issue at all??

Did you have any change in diet, to eventually lower the carbs in your meal and further reduce your BG?

I just started this few days ago, my BG went down, but I feel the effects of several reactive hypos each day (also called transient hypoglycemia). They are not always hypos, because the meter is still within 5+ mmol/L, but they feel like hypos. Because the body did not have enough time to adapt.

Maybe it's different in your case, but think about any changes you may have made lately...

Thanks for the reply, I haven't made any changes recently which is why it's so confusing lol.

I find that I need to take a step back from myself every 5-6 weeks and do basal testing to make sure my basal rates are right on my pump -- so lately ( the last few days ) i have discovered I need a slight rise in rate between 7am - 9an

as i have been rising even without eating

perhaps you need to revisit your basal rates

I've been having the same for the last 2/3 days, but I'm on my period so I attributed it to that. Could it be that?

Thanks guys, no idea what's doing it. My hypo symptoms are getting different, the shakes are awful but it's just my right hand. The lightheaded feeling last twice as long and take longer to treat the hypo :/

Are you sure your pump isn't misbehaving, sounds odd if you've been doing nothing different

I think it is lol. No alarms going off or anything. These last few days have been better so I'll just put it down to a bump in the road I think lol.

Thanks for the replies x

Dawn phenomenon?
To the OP, glad things have improved. Sometimes you just never know why your body behaves the way it does...:)
