I was diagnosed with type 2 in December 2018 but i didn't act on it until very recently, I remember being told to check my blood sugar levels in the morning and that's about it. since joining here i have read that a lot of people test themselves after they have ate to have a better understanding of what makes there blood levels spike. My question is how long should i wait after eating my meal before i check my blood sugar levels? thank you in advance

Test before a meal and 2 hours after the first bite. You're aiming for a rise of no more than 2.0 mmol/l between those two. If it's higher, that meal needs tweaking or, well, going into the bin. If it's lower it was perfect and worth repeating.

Thank you for the info by chance i tested myself yesterday at breakfast with a 2 hour gap. i was 7.8 fasted and tested myself 2 hours after i ate and my blood sugar levels was 7.3 so worth repeating like you said

Sounds like an excellent choice indeed.
