I was diagnosed with type 2 in December 2018 but i didn't act on it until very recently, I remember being told to check my blood sugar levels in the morning and that's about it. since joining here i have read that a lot of people test themselves after they have ate to have a better understanding of what makes there blood levels spike. My question is how long should i wait after eating my meal before i check my blood sugar levels? thank you in advance :)

Test before a meal and 2 hours after the first bite. You're aiming for a rise of no more than 2.0 mmol/l between those two. If it's higher, that meal needs tweaking or, well, going into the bin. If it's lower it was perfect and worth repeating. :)

Thank you for the info :) by chance i tested myself yesterday at breakfast with a 2 hour gap. i was 7.8 fasted and tested myself 2 hours after i ate and my blood sugar levels was 7.3 so worth repeating like you said :)

Sounds like an excellent choice indeed. :)
