UP/DOWN ARROWS?

Has anybody else logged on and found red & white up/down arrows at the bottom of the page ? Are these part of the new improvements? They were not there when I logged off last night and they are driving me nuts, I don't really need arrows to show me how to scroll up/down I've been doing it for years, surely it's not just my keyboard

ah, found edit in tools.

browsing on a tab I dont need arrows....not while I have fingers.

What else have I missed? I did notice that the smiley icon has shrunk and because I am partially sighted I can barely see it or has my sight deteriorated further?
Still no explanation why we were all demoted, what on earth is going on
 


Yep, they're smaller. Any fat fingered folk are ******

Yes I've found them this evening when I logged on. And ditto to being driven spare, mad and up the wall by them! I believe I'm also quite capable of knowing how and when to scroll, even though I'm well into my dotage. Not only do I not need them they flash on and off, and block of part of the posts I'm trying to read.

I'm beginning to seriously question the IQs and mental age of some current software programmers(??) because of the utter rubbish they foist on us in the name of so-called improvements/progress, and to curse webmasters and Forum moderators for allowing/performing useless and idiotic "upgrades". PLEASE! it's not broken - just leave well alone! And it's not just here - similiar rubbish appears to be proliferating elsewhere making pages difficult to use or read.

Perhaps they're removing such things as part of the so called improvements that are coming our way?

I dont think its finished cos things like the edit button that were there 10 minutes ago have gone.

Yeh just noticed that as I was going to delete those pesky arrows and...no edit
 
If you click on one of the arrows it scrolls to the very top or very bottom of the page. Not a really useful addition as one can already use Ctrl-Page Up or Ctrl-Page Down to do the same thing only better.
 
I'm finding them great on a tablet, saves me all that finger flicking to scroll back to the top, considering how long some of the pages are. Work when click on with a mouse on the PC too.
 
 
Well things are not working very well tonight. I saw a quote from ' no carbs me 'on the page but as yet it has not got to my alerts lists have gremlins on the site tonight
 
Some great changes folks .
Been up and down the page on the new scroll bars .
Mine is fast too - quickly gets me to the to or bottom of a page .
