UP/DOWN ARROWS?

Yes I've found them this evening when I logged on. And ditto to being driven spare, mad and up the wall by them! I believe I'm also quite capable of knowing how and when to scroll, even though I'm well into my dotage. Not only do I not need them they flash on and off, and block of part of the posts I'm trying to read.

I'm beginning to seriously question the IQs and mental age of some current software programmers(??) because of the utter rubbish they foist on us in the name of so-called improvements/progress, and to curse webmasters and Forum moderators for allowing/performing useless and idiotic "upgrades". PLEASE! it's not broken - just leave well alone! And it's not just here - similiar rubbish appears to be proliferating elsewhere making pages difficult to use or read.

Robbity

Here, here, I tried to put that across on the thread, Out of curiosity, an update?

What else have I missed? I did notice that the smiley icon has shrunk and because I am partially sighted I can barely see it:jimlad: or has my sight deteriorated further?
Still no explanation why we were all demoted, what on earth is going on

That's another thing I mentioned on the Out of Curiosity, an update thread? diabetes and eye problems. Have a look and see if there is anything you might like to add.

Hi RRB Hope you had a good re energising break, as you have noticed we have gremlins playing on site again:banghead:

Hi yes I did notice something :nailbiting: :rolleyes:I did mention one or two things on the other thread.
Nice to join in again :)

The down arrow takes us directly the to bottom of the advertising section, with FB, Twitter and co.................

These are standard Top/Bottom page jump buttons, mainly to enable mobile/tablet users to scroll all the way up/down the page without the hassle of scrolling. It's common across other websites.

Concerns noted about the size of the smiley icon - will look in to altering that as we are trying very hard to ensure that people with visual impairments can use the forum to the fullest.

I'm closing this thread, but if you have any further concerns about the forum's recent update then please PM me.
