Triceraptors you need to get off ketogenic and back on to a more normallised diet and build your muscle back then at some future date you can go back to keto or fasting
if you are losing muscle mass or your muscle is flacid you need carbs and protein
There are many on the forum that would swear by low carb and many that have been on it for years and would not go back but you have to ask how many of them have lost significant muscle mass

ketones can run aerobically they can not run anaerobically type 1 muscles are the only ones that run aerobically type 2a and 2b do not its human biology

guys the guy has issues with food can we not be urging him to eat other than normally. which country do you live in i thought it was the uk. but it seems not. spending 3 hours with a private consultant and all those test which are not needed is going to have earned her a nice wage. the only test that needed doing was the hba1c. you believe your type 1 as ive repeated you do not have pre diabetics. if your beta cells are conking out there is not a lot you can do. however we know this is not your main problem.
and thats the problem with this forum everyone is pushing keto without any thought that there is any other way or that by going keto you may mess up your body and do more damage.
25 years you say you have been fortunate may I ask how you got into it? how do you determin no loss of muscle mass? even top bodybuilder and coaches say you will lose some at the start of going keto

we seem to be veering to a discussion on the merits ( or not ) of a Keto diet.
perhaps start a new discussion for that rather then take this topic down this route
totally agree in the op case it would be beyond stupid for any diet like keto or extremely low carbing. this guy has an eating and mental health/emotional problems. he needs skilled help. what we need to do is support his normalised eating. we need someone that has the skills to support difficult case like this. with the rise of diabulimia we need a support framework for them. im trying to support this guy i feel for him but im not trained in the problems that he faces. he is as scared as we were when we where dignoses but in his case no one will believe him. he is ill just in a different way. he is not trying to do it on purpose and its nor attention seeking. so if there is some one out there that can assist please chip in.
