Hi Debbie,
I hope James is better this morning,
when needing insulin hospitals often put children on a sliding scale regime with a bolus insulin to bring down bs and to get rid of the keytones, this usually involves 4 hourly injections. Then as long as glucose is absent from blood samples (but keytones may still be present ) they introduce a basal back into the equation. Naturally with James being in the honeymoon period it may be completely different. I hope all has gone well, and they find out if he is indeed T1 or Mody,
Take care, sending ((hugs))
