Urine retention anyone?

hi everyone sorry my first post is not pleasa
i have been told that I must wear a catheter indefinitely as when they take it out my urine flow gradually closes off. Has anyone else been diagnosed with this issue before? Please let me know
 
Hi Filumo and welcome to the forums.

There is definitely a urine retention issue for some people with T2 (I was one of them, don't know about people with T1) but what you've described doesn't fit with my experience. Is this diabetes related or could it be due to something else entirely?

They think it must be diabetes related. I think I’m going to get a second opinion-I don’t fancy wearing a catheter for the rest of my life
