Hi everyone
5 years ago I was put on 2.5mg of ramipril daily, being told that all diabetics were being recommended to take it. I am still taking it, but am puzzling why as I never had high blood pressure, infact it was pretty low. Has anybody been on these tablets for a longer period of time, perhaps 10 years? Have they actually been proven to help diabetics? After having been so ill from taking Simvastatin which I was told to take because I am diabetic, I am now questioning the reasoning behind the ramipril.....has it really been proven to help diabetics?
Many thanks
