Hi, searched before but can’t find post - on holiday & wondering what to do with used Glucose Strips. Have them put back in the foils in a plastic bag should I just take them home & dispose in my sharpie bin? Thanks

that is what i do when on holiday....hope you're having a great time !!

Why not just put them in the bin? They aren’t sharp and have way less blood on them than sanitary products left in a bin, so shouldn’t be a problem.

I use an empty test strip container for the used ones when travelling, which is ok until you pick it up by mistake and try using a used one.

No help that mind :p so just find an old bag or something and throw them away in that maybe.

like @kev-w I use an empty test pot for my strips and lancets all the time. To save getting them mixed up I put a red dot (them sticky paper ones or you could use marker pen) on lid of used pots. :)

Mine also go straight in the bin. When I was using Codefree that came in a handy plastic tub, I used to take the label off an empty tub and put them in there.

I use the box that the plastic tub comes in for my tests strip (and maybe 1 lancet a quarter.). seal it up and in the bin.

Those little tubs come in handy. I used one for taking a urine sample to a hospital appt on one occasion.
