All I do is weight my carbs, however most of my meals are at home so it’s a bit easier than when I eat out. I generally find there is more fat and sugars when I eat out compared to home cooked food, not good for people who eat out a lot!I use www.exactmeals.com and it's excellent for carb counting.
Good points made. My problem is how often should I do a blood test and at what times?
Tomato app is simple ,xdrip and spike also very good .Does anybody know of any good apps for working how many carbs are in a meal?
yes, i love it very much .now my miaomiao1 can work with US-14 day libre on my iphone. it is amazing.I use MiaoMiao as the CGM to monitor my BG, it alerts me when my BG is not normal, it's a life changer to me. Love it so much.
I thought I'd start a topic with some useful links and tools for T1Ds, including links to methods and courses.
For Basal Testing, this is possibly the best description and detailed breakdown I've found for both pump and MDI users: https://mysugr.com/basal-rate-testing/
To learn about Carb counting and Insulin to Carb ratios, the Bournemouth Diabetes and Endocrine Centre has the following e-learning course: http://www.bertieonline.org.uk/
In terms of general management of Diabetes, the following are all extremely useful:

Richard Bernstein's website: http://www.diabetes-book.com/

Please feel free to add any that you can think of.
Another fantastic book is PUMPING INSULIN by John Walsh and Ruth Roberts. this was my bible when I first went on a pump just over 10 yrs ago. I would recommend Stephen Ponders - SUGAR SURFING as mentioned above also.I thought I'd start a topic with some useful links and tools for T1Ds, including links to methods and courses.
