Hey

I have been on novarapid as my fast acting insulin for the last 6 years, and over the last year it seems like even if I have no acting insulin in me or doing any exercise my sugars can go from 7 to 4 quite quickly. Could this possibly be the insulin??

not really much to go on, delayed mealtime or big change in last meal perhaps?

It happens all the time, I could be on 7 before a meal and around 7 still 2 hours later but I can’t just stay on 7, it will always go down and down

Could it be anything to do with your basal (long acting) insulin and sensitivity at different times of the day? Have you done any basal testing?

No I need to look into that. I take 18 of my long acting at night and that’s it. I don’t know if I should be taking it at different times or maybe less

I'd look into doing some basal testing if you can as if this dose isn't right it can throw off your carb ratios for fast acting insulin.
