Can i pick your's and everyone else's brain again?!! I have a more or less permanent urinary tract infection. This weekend has been a nightmare! I have been boiling hot one minute and freezing cold and shivering the next. It started when I woke up on Saturday morning when with a raging headache (which I had till Sunday night). I went to the out of hours doctor on Saturday night and I took a urine sample with me. It tested that I had a strong water infection. I told the doctor that I didn't think I had ever been given strong enough antibiotics except for when I was going in hospital for a knee replacement and they wouldn't operate until the UTI had cleared up! So she gave me the strong ones and some anti sickness pills as I had been feeling sick but had not actually produced anything. Well, as soon as I got home and took my painkillers and the anti sickness pill - I started throwing up! I have not had anything much to eat since Saturday morning (2 slices of wholemeal toast and 6 or seven chips.) I tested my blood fully expecting it to be really low, but it had gone up to from 5.4 to 6.6 the next morning it was 8.1. then it went down to 6.8 and then 13.0! Why has it gone up when I have had very little to eat? Any ideas?
