UTI/blood sugar

I have a uti and my blood sugars have dropped down to the 3’s by around 3pm the last few days. Would a uti affect blood sugars?

infections can have adverse effects on blood glucose levels. Though I note you are also on a lot of meds that can do that, too. Perhaps best to discuss with your doctor? Especially if you are feeling hypo with those 3s. Were you given advice about this when the meds were prescribed, or at reviews?

I don’t feel that hypo but by the way I feel I know I should do a test and eat. Nothing was mentioned to me about uti’s on any of the medication I take. When I started empaglaflozin I was told I could get thrush. Only when speaking to my gp yesterday he mentioned in passing that the meds I’m on could cause a uti. He has prescribed a week of antibiotics.
