One more for this morning, more of a general item but interesting as a perspective tho personally I find a total veg diet unappealing.

Veg Diet Reduces Risk Of Disease Considerably
"An HND diet can accomplish this; by emphasizing micronutrient adequacy, cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood pressure are lowered as weight is lost and blood glucose drops. We have extensive experience treating overweight diabetics with superior nutrition and the results are impressive. The majority are able to restore their glucose levels to the normal range without any further need for medications. They have essentially become non-diabetic again."

Once again it is all rather vague with no real examples let alone data.

I suppose it was inevitable that this vegan lobby group from the US would come over here eventually. Creepy though that they are going for the MP's! They are not advocating a vegetarian diet as the title says, but a vegan diet. I'll watch with interest to see how Clinton does on this. There's a lot of anecdotal reports of vegans with long-term health problems. Read "The Vegetarian Myth" by Lierre Keith.
