veganism?

I understand that it can be too many carbs for a T2, but am not clear about the overprocessed muck? My son is Vegan on ethical grounds and he doesn't eat much processed food at all. Lots and lots of fresh vegetables, though he eats dried and canned beans. I personally couldn't do it (I love cheese too much) but it looks like a pretty healthy diet if you can tolerate carbs (or inject for them if you're T1).

By overprocessed muck, I mean some specific products targeted at vegans, which are nothing but a long list of chemicals. Your son sounds quite sensible in that respect. It's just that not everyone is, and not all foods labelled vegan are healthy.
