As newly diagnosed I will be asking lots of silly questions, so heres the first, and I know that everybody is different, so here is the first.

Vegetable Crisps

Apart from being ludicrously expensive £1.69 for a bag of Root Vegetable Crisps from Sainsbury's, can I eat them (Type 2), and by eat them, I don't mean a full bag, just maybe half a dozen or so after lunch for example, so a full bag may last 4/5 days.

soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
2 ways to find out.
1] read the total carbs on the label.
2] check blood glucose before and 1hour after eating them. the 1 hour reading will show you your peak.
Peaks over 7.5 are undesirable, especially if you do it frequently.

I buy vegetable crisps from Aldi, they are rather expensive but very nice just the same. As Hana said, check the carbs on the packet and test accordingly. Usually there isn't as many carbs as potato crisps, but just watch the salt/fat content as they can be quite high much like ordinary crisps.
