Vegetarian and Vegan's needed ....

Hi Rose28 same here , just guess work in most things .....unless it is a cake ....

Hi Kat, yes I still measure if I'm baking but nowadays I use cups instead of scales... Sometimes I'd be half through weighing the cake ingredients and the battery would die on me! :arghh:

This is quite difficult, when you have a recipe thinking it is your own idea, then check on Google, it has already been done.

But surely if we've put the recipe together, from scratch, without the aid of Google or any books, we can say it's our own? Even if there might be a similar one elsewhere... Dunno?!?

I ask this because I make low carb pancakes, which I didn't do any research for, just experimented several times with various ingredients until I got it how I liked it ... There may be the same or very similar recipe elsewhere but we won't know unless we do the research ... If that makes sense.

Im new to this so please tell me if I'm not on the right track

I'm sure you're a great cook because family are your best judge :joyful: And I agree with you, it's because the meals are different. I can't wait to see your recipes.

Trust me I'm no expert at cooking but I'm learning and like to adapt ingredients wherever I can.

It will fabulous .. Trust me ... Throw over what you have ... oz .. lbs .. Stone .. grams .. Pints .. ltr Cups .. Pinch or hand fulls .. Then I will pass it on to the wife ... She will then make sure it's not to much like Mrs Smiths or Mr Oliver's ... Then if all is good she sprinkles on magic dust ... Or something like that on the computer and it will be amazing ...
She will need photos as well please ... As many as you want ...please .. It should be fun ...if it's looking that good later we can get serious and make a proper publication ( don't tell the wife, she is only planning for an e publication like the Garden Tripod )
Any aspiring writers out here that want to add their story ........ ( best I ask the wife first, but it could be good to read about your journey as we read your recipes)

Well .. How's everyone getting on with their recipes ... Don't forget to send them it :shy:

If you copy a recipe you have to be careful about copyright laws. If it is your own recipe then you are in the clear.

Sadly for bloggers, there are more and more incidents occurring of content theft. In some cases, bloggers are even finding their recipes appearing in ebooks being sold on sites such as Amazon. This can be very distressing when you’ve put so much time and effort into your blog. However, there are several steps you can take to try and handle the situation quickly and effectively.

If you find your content has been reproduced online without your permission, firstly you should try and contact the site owner and request your content is taken down immediately. If you can’t find contact details on their site, try searching whois or nominet. If you have no luck with this then try contacting the company who hosts the website, informing them of the copyright infringement and giving as much detail as you can. They have the power to suspend the account of the offenders and often take complaints very seriously.

A simple guide to copyright.

Thank you for that Catherine .. This is a private zero profit e publication .. For the use of forum members .. It will also have asked that the content be orignal to that poster ... But if no one wants this then I will shelve the idear also .. This info you gave applies copyright wise to any thing posted in these forums !

The wife would have advised the poster of copyright issues as far as your own food was submitted to the ebook ..

Thanking you all that trusted me with your food idears
