Food is pretty pricy here as we have to import all our produce in the winter.
But we do have nice variety.
Sorry to highjack this thread. This really doesn't have anything to do with what I ate anymore.
Sounds delish. Do you use florets or cauli rice?I made this last night the original recipe was a salad but I roast it all and throw fresh spinach in it at the end and serve warm.
- 1 small head cauliflower
- 3 tablespoons regular olive oil
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons cumin seeds
- 250 grams home-cooked chickpeas (or drained weight from 400g/14oz can or jar)
- 2 tablespoons harissa paste (according to taste and the heat of the harissa)
- 4 smallish ripe vine tomatoes (approx. 150g/6oz total)
- 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes (or to taste)
I used florets and a few extra tomatoes.Sounds delish. Do you use florets or cauli rice?
Walnut pesto? Besides walnuts what do use?B: golden milk
L: slice of toasted Tesco HP bread, hummus, cherry tomatoes
D: Linda Mac 1/4 pounder topped with Gary, green goddess salad (made walnut pesto for it - tasty!), vodka

Oh yes, photos for us nosey folk!I used florets and a few extra tomatoes.
I'll remember to take a picture next time.
Oh that would be good on tomatoes roasted.I used this recipe https://food52.com/recipes/22291-simple-vegan-pesto
It is good, but not perfect. My daughter has suggested adding some soaked cashews next time to add creaminess and walnut oil to add walnutiness.
You have given me ideas , I often use cumin seeds when roasting a cauliflower xI made this last night the original recipe was a salad but I roast it all and throw fresh spinach in it at the end and serve warm.
