Hey everyone!

Just wanted to put this out there, I had my retinopathy screening yesterday for the 1st time in 3 years! There was only small changes and nothing to worry about. The optician thinks that as long as I can get my sugar levels under control there will be no significant changes to my eyes :D!! Very very happy as I've ignored the responsibility I have of looking after my diabetes for ages!!!

I had an eye test at the opticians two months ago and they said I had a bleed behind my right eye. They sent me to morefields eye hospital who told me the same but not to worry about it. It was the first time in 23 yrs I've been told this so I was worried. I had my routine eye test at the hospital last week and they couldn't find anything wrong. Apparently bleeds can come and go in people with t1 without us noticing and it's normal. I'm relieved it turned out to be nothing.

Congrats on your results. X

Sorry late reply, haven't been on in a while! That's good news then that there's nothing to worry about! My optician said the same that there are small changes that happen all the time in the eyes. Hope you're levels are all good :) xx
