Morning and again I have woken to blood glucose levels in the low twenties. Just would like to know im not alone in this. Was diagnosed type 1 last year. I have found it doesn't matter how much long lasting insulin I have at night, Cant tell if my pancreas is messing around still or if my lantus is acting all in one go. can test 3 ish in the morning and my levels are somewhere near but by the time I wake up they are through the roof. If I take less insulin my levels rise between 3 and 7:30, if I take more insulin it I believe it drops until my liver gives me a kick. have tried different insulin doses from 0 to 10. 10 units and I can get a ok morning level but I would have had a hypo during the night. Just trying to hold out for a freestyle libre so I can have a proper record of whats going on. Quite tempted to get a cgm if the libre isn't available by April.
Just want to know im not the only person having these issues.
